Designed for all-year-round over water operations: floodplains, rivers, lakes, sea, snow and ice, flat ground, deserts and marshes. The Orion-10 ekranoplan, is powered by 2 eight-cylinder Chevrolet LS3 gasoline engines with 525 hp. Take-off and landing of the ekranoplan are allowed for waves of up to 0.5-0.75 m (<2 points) and wind speeds of up to 12 m / s (headwind on take-off), side wind not more than 6 m, tailwind not more than 4 m.

Orion-10 airframe consists of the following components: centerplane, fuselage, console, vertical and horizontal tail, lodges and floats, bow swivel beam. The main structural elements of the airframe are made of corrosion-resistant materials and alloys including-fiberglass, foam, aluminum alloys, stainless steel.

As the power plant on a GEV "Orion-10" are used two 8-cylinder petrol engines "Chevrolet LS3" power of 525 HP. Fuel consumption at cruising mode of motion is 80 to 83 kg/HR. Power transmission from the engine to the two propellers is made through a transmission consisting of gearboxes company Rotator. Maximum transmission torque is 1408 Nm. Gearboxes together with the propellers are rotated by the bow turning beam relative to the body at an angle from 0 to 12 degrees.

Three-bladed propellers VC-17 with a diameter of 1950 mm, providing maximum traction 1150-1200 kgs (on foot at an angle of installation of the blades is 15 degrees).

Two radio stations providing two-way radio communication with coastal services. Satellite navigation as part of the navigation and aerobatic complex.

Ship devices. The anchor of "the Danforth" 7.7 kg-2 PCs, mooring duck, rescue boats (2x), life jackets, rope, axe, hook, sliding, foldable bucket , anchor floating.
