Note:
Mr. Sherman Fairchild was originally an aerial camera manufacturer. Sherman sold cameras to the U.S. War Department after the First World War and found no suitable aircraft available as a platform for the cameras. He then formed the Fairchild Aviation Corp., and built his own airplanes! Fairchild was first produced in 1932.
