Description
Thinking about buying a private helicopter? Well for the price of a tidy Bell 206L4, you will be able to tweet President Trump about your own S76B that has just undergone a full refurbishment here in New Zealand. There isn’t a better helicopter built [for the price] than the S76 for moving people and going long distance. Second only to the new S76D, the S76B is the most powerful 76 variant built by Sikorsky and well informed corporate and private owner (like Trump) agree. Sikorsky built the S76 for offshore oil support transportation at the mercy of the worlds worst conditions. It is categorically the toughest and safest multi-engine IFR platform every built with variants flying roles as varied as military op's, EMS and wildfire support. I have a few exciting work stories in this model and I’ve even seen one land in a Canadian lake up to the belly. I’ve squeezed them into backyards, bush clearings, roads, done hover exits on mountain hillsides and then shot an IFR approach to minimums off the ILS. They laugh off 70 knot winds… they do a lot more than you would expect.
