    1945 Grumman Bearcat F8F-2, Only 992 Hours Since Factory New. Owned By Well Known Warbird Collector “Mustang Mike” Since 1963. Complete Navy Log Books Since New. This Airplane Has Been Hangar Kept And Is In Immaculate Condition. The Civilian Paint Scheme Was Applied In 1965 And Still Shows Like The Day It Was Applied. Also Available Is A Large Inventory Of Spare Parts Collected Over Fifty Years Ago. The Grumman Bearcat was designed as a Fighter Interceptor during World War II serving in squadron VF-19 aboard the USS Langley and squadron VF-18 at North Island. The aircraft would lunch from Navy Aircraft Carriers climb to ten thousand feet in sixty seconds and be able to shoot the enemy down instantly.
