During a dry engine crank battery check, the propeller hit the aircraft tow bar still connected to the front tire resulting in minor damage to the Prop. According the Lycoming bulletins for prop strikes, engine shock loading as well as Propeller overhaul was required. Instead I decided to replace the Propeller and perform a complete Engine overhaul including Mags and Starter to a zero-hour reset.
