The longer wings and fuselage make this special Mustang much more forgiving, stable and easier to fly. Longer span ailerons keep them effective into the stall. Thickess of the front and rear sparsincreaded.
Fuselage stringers spaced closer together, Thorp T-18 canopy features a thicker windshield support tube. A cabin crossbrace.
A sharp trailing edge with a machined profile. External rear spar to fuselage support braces. Float attachment modifications.
Water rudder retraction lever.
Modifications for routing water rudder cables.(pulleys, guards, teflon rubbing blocks etc.) Larger elevator trim surface. Flap span increased by 4 feet.
