Records back to 1945 when surplused by the Military Two certified military style seat pack parachutes included JUNE 1993 RESTORATION DETAILS: Completely disassembled airframe. San-blasted, linseed-oiled and painted fuselage, reassembled fuselage complying with pertinent AD’s and Fairchild Service Bulletins listed in AD section. Recovered fuselage, ailerons, elevators, trim tabs and rudder with Poly-Fiber P-103, using Stits Process. Installed all overhauled instruments, front and rear cockpits. Installed New Steel Cockpit Heat Control Bos. Completely Rebuilt Wings, Center Section, Horizontal Stabilizers and Vertical Fin, as described in Form 337. Disassembled, inspected installed new Seals and Bearings, Reassembled and Repainted Main Landing Gear and Tail Wheel Assemblies. Complied with pertinent AD’s and Fairchild Service Bulletins. Installed new Brake Lining and Bladders, Tires and Tubes on Main Gear; New Tire and Tube on Tail Wheel. Reassembled Aircraft, Including New Sensenich Wooden Propeller. Installed Ranger Engine, Model.
