Description
1973 Piper PA28-180 Challenger. The challenger was the precursor to the Archer, it was only in production for one year, in 1974 they did a name change and called it an archer 1. the main difference from the standard Cherokee 180 is, they stretched the fuselage 5 inches giving you a large backseat and larger baggage area. they also lengthened the horizontal stabilizer about 2 feet in total, giving you much more elevator authority at slow speed. lycoming 0-360, 1800 SMOH with 120 Since a top overhaul with 4 factory oncoming cylinders. just replaced 5 engine oil/fuel hoses along with one brake hose and both fuel tank hoses. 1800TT on cruise propeller, easily cruise at 120kts in still air at 9.5gph 4500TT airframe. corrosion free, shows nice with paint being done in the early 90s. been hangared since Avionics; 1 Bendix King KX155, 1 King KX175, 1 Apollo GX55 VFR gps, Dual VOR one with glideslope. N555PB just got a lengthy annual inspection in July, also getting a Pitot static check.
