1946 Boeing Stearman for sale. Finished in Red with a gold stripe detail, here is a rare opportunity to bring an aircraft back to flying condition whilst also stamping your mark in terms of colour scheme. This aircraft has 2562 hrs TTAF and only 351 hrs on the Continental 670 engine. The aircraft has been in dry storage for c 10 yrs and thus needs some light work to bring it back to airworthy status. We have inspected this aircraft and note that the engine was changed in October 1998. It is currently out of annual and the current owner is in the process of recovering the tail section. New wings were fitted in 1993. Smoke tank is installed. Compressions documented as 70-80, 65-80, 80-80, 70-80, 75-80. 80-80 and 75-80. Engine is in good order though we would recommend an inspection prior to running. The aircraft is currently in California and we do have engineers in the region who would complete the fabric work, inspect the engine and get this aircraft back to airworthiness at a cost of no more than $15k.
