PRICE SLASHED! Super Clean, Low Time "A" Model with 3 Blade Prop, Aug 2013 Annual
HISTORY:
Transferred from Military to Civilian ownership in 1959. In 1978 the aircraft was restored to like new condition. The following work was done: Main and nose gear struts disassembled and inspected. New O rings, packing and seals installed. All new hydraulic hose made up for landing
gear. Wheel well electrical wiring completely rewired. All lights and switches O/H and replaced. Landing gear doors and actuating rods and linkages removed, all steal parts plated and other parts painted or anodized. All rod end bearings, roller bearings or bushings replaced with new ones. New landing gear up and down latch assembly installed. New nose wheel door boot installed. Ailerons an flaps removed, rear of wing cleaned and painted. New bearings installed in ailerons and flap hinges. New rod end bearings installed. New aileron and elevator trim tab control cables installed. Rudder and elevator removed and new seals installed. Rudder and elevator removed and cleaned. New rudder trim tab installed. Vertical and horizontal stabilizers removed, cleaned and painted and installed with new hardware. All controls rigged. Hydraulic power steering system O/H. All valves disassembled, inspected. O rings and packings replaced. Power steering shimmy damper disassembled and inspected. New wiring and hydraulic hoses installed. Canopy hydraulic system overhauled. Interior aft fuselage cleaned and zinc chromated. Wing matting joints inspected for cracks. None found. Forward and aft cockpit panels reworked. Cockpit instruments overhauled. Forward instrument panel and forward switching panel rewired. All new instrument air hoses installed. New throttle quadrant and trim tab assemblies installed. New throttle quadrant and trim tab assemblies installed. Control sticks and linkages removed, cleaned and painted. New pistol grips installed. Reassembled with new bearings and hardware and rigged. Seats reinstalled with new hardware and new surplus seatbelts. Voltage regulator, inverter, oxygen regulators overhauled. New oxygen hoses installed. New oxygen hoses installed. Battery disconnect relay and battery bus relays overhauled. New battery vent jar and lines installed. New windshield and side glass installed. New canopy seals installed. New baggage door seals installed.
Since restoration, the following has been accomplished in addition to routine maintenance:
New front canopy (1989)
Oil Cooler Overhauled (1997)
Sperry Attitude Indicator replaced with New Sigmatec
Vacuum Attitude Indicator and New Instrument Panels (1998)
Main gear brake pads and tires replaced. Main and nose gear bearings repacked (2002)
New Battery 2002
Rebuilt/replaced fuel boost pumps, engine pump, fuel selector and main fuel line (2002)
