    Description
The one and only CM-144 aircraft built by Scaled Composites. Serial number 0001. Built in 1987 to be used as a test bed for high altitude UAV missions, this aircraft is capable of cruising at 25,000 ft. (FL250) for +15 hours. This airplane reached 32,500 feet during testing. IFR equipped with lights, strobes, Mode C. Only thing missing is a VOR receiving unit which can be purchased for less than $500. New batteries, new Cleveland brakes, new alternator, new AC inverter. I had an A&P design and install custom toe brakes on the aircraft. Military 02 system. Installed Infinity HOTAS control grip allows you to assign almost every function on the aircraft to a button/switch. Dual sticks. This airplane is a one of a kind piece of aviation history that will make an outstanding airshow aircraft. Turns heads and commands attention wherever I take her. You'll not see another like her anywhere. Please email me at [email protected] or call me at 281-541-7035 for any info/questions. I've got a ton of pics and the POH has a huge amount of charts/ performance data on this amazing plane. Serious buyers please feel free to contact me. Thanks. Scaled Composites CM-144

    Airframe

    Airframe Notes
Composite aircraft. No airframe damage; though the aircraft will need to be resanded and reprimed before a good paint scheme can be applied. 33.5ft. wingspan, baggage pods on wings, 94 gals. usable. A fantastic aircraft.

    Engine 1 Time
    756
    Engine 1 Overhaul Type

TIO-360 Turbocharged, 210 HP. Engine was scoped and tested during last annual. Pressures were all above 85.

    Props

    Prop Notes
Hoffmann 3 bladed constant speed prop. Prop has suffered a few dings from rock/FOD and will need some cosmetic work to get back into shape.

    Modifications/Conversions

    Modifications/Conversions
Wing mounted Baggage pods capable of carrying 25lbs. of baggage each.

    Avionics

    Avionics/Radios
IFR Equipped (short of VOR reciever)(Was not installed when I purchased the aircraft)Collins NAV/COM. Mode C Xponder, G meter, Tach, RPM, Smokey Mountain Engine Monitor, AC powered Att/DG. Lots of room for installation of another Eng. monitor or even the Blue Mountain EFIS systems.

    Exterior

    Exterior Notes
I sanded and primed this aircraft with a primer that has obviously not proven to be the best choice. It will need to be re sanded and primed once again before paint, but you have the luxury of picking your own paint scheme.
