    Description
One of only 76 post-war Grumman Widgeons made, the G-44A differs from the war era G-44 primarily by having a deeper and larger bow section forward of the step. This deeper bow mitigated the bad porpoise characteristics and improved the bow flotation of the Widgeon. Aircraft completed a seven year labor-of-love full-restoration project in 1989. The aircraft is in peak, better than new condition. The aircraft sports twin Continental IO-470-D 260hp engines and if you have ever watched TV series Fantasy Island, you will recognize the aircraft as being “Ze Plane! Ze Plane!” Privately owned, no corrosion, all AD’s complied with, excellent maintenance history, always hangared, well managed, complete restoration, smooth flying aircraft. Call or email for aircraft details. Jack's Aircraft takes the worry out of buying pre-owned aircraft.
