The G1000 cockpit has revolutionized the Cessna 172. It provides a level of safety and situational awareness that is not possible with steam gauges or handheld GPS. This plane has been used exclusively for cross country flying and, therefore, has few landings and has been exercised weekly throughout all seasons. As an IFR platform, this plane is incredible. Its stability , autopilot and G1000 have brought me to the MDA many times without breaking a sweat. As much as I love this plane, a change in mission profile requires that I sell it.
The cargo capacity on the 172 is surprisingly robust. My girlfriend and I travel with two bicycles or skis and snowboards - as the season dictates. There is still room for bags and friends. G-1000, Fully Loaded, XM Weather, Traffic, Terrain, Like New, No Damage History.
