1944 Hawker Tempest II: Under Restoration. For Sale As Is Where Is This rare and exciting project is approximately 80%complete and is currently in the care of Pioneer Aero, Ardmore, New Zealand. This Hawker Tempest II was purchased in 2012 by its current owner and shipped to New Zealand, where the restoration to airworthy standard has commenced. The current owner passed away unexpectedly in 2013 and the project is being sold on behalf of his estate. The Tempest is now offered For Sale "As Is, Where Is" with the option of having Pioneer Aero complete the restoration to flying and airworthy standard.
