If any purchaser does his homework re Albatrosses he will find I have one of the best ones. 2 years ago we were 150 miles out in the ocean off the coast off Mexico with 18 people on board meeting a dive boat for a Great White Shark diving expedition. Not many others are ready to go like that. Mine is always current on inspections and ready to fly 90% of the The long wing is a very nice airplane to fly. The Albatross is in flying condition. It is registered in the US on restricted category and is located in California. This aircraft requires a Type Rating for the Captain and the co-pilot just has to be multi eng rated with a seaplane endorsement. There are Albatross instructors available. No hassles registering or flying. Wingspan 98' 6'' this is a long wing aircraft. There is no comparison when it comes to performance. PRICE INC. spares and special tools and I can set them up with qualified people to do a fresh annual and flight training Pickling- I ran the engines and taxied it around up until November of 2010. The cylinders are sprayed with oil. The QEC and all areas of the engines are sprayed with LPS 2. The interior is all removed and stored in my hangar so no moisture can ruin it. There is a solar/battery fan that keeps air flowing so no condensation will form inside the airplane. There is anti-bird netting stuff like that all over the aircraft. Rick another Albatross owner lubes the flight controls and has sprayed ACF 50 in the wings and other areas. Rick works on my plane every 2 weeks keeping it up. Lubing, checking exercising controls, switches etc. Both engine nacelles are covered and sealed. Thats about all you need to do for long term storage.
