No Corrosion. Great logs and maintenance history. New paint in 2005, new interior in September 2005, new panel upgrades in 2005 and 2006. You won't go any faster with piston power. A good Aerostar is a pleasure to fly. See the new Article in the January 2008 Flying magazine on the Aerostar 702.

Machen Superstar 1 Upgrade. This is over a $100,000.00 upgrade to the stock 601P. The 340 HP engines will give you 245 KTS True Airspeed on a ISA day. You will not find a faster piston twin with a standard certificate. The following Machen mods are also installed: 242, 245, 144, 250, 252, 254, 600-119, 600-129A, 600-130, 600-132, 746C, 920A.

A comprehensive IFR panel just doesn't get any better than N778E. New panel installed in July 2005 by Howard Aviation which included a Garmin GNS 530, Garmin GNS 430, and a Garmin GTX 330 transponder with traffic. A PS Engineering PMA 8000B audio panel w/playback, Avidyne EX 500 with CMAX, Jeppesen chart view, and Heads Up Technology XM Weather. New JPI engines monitor with fuel flow were installed by Beacon Aviation in 2006. Aircraft has a XM Roady 2 XM Receiver interfaced into the audio panel. N778E also had the following existing equipment: King KFC 200 AP/FD, King K1525 Slaved HIS O/H in 2002. CD player in panel. New panel overlays in 2006. Both Garmins are receiving the WAAS upgrade as of January 2008.

New interior September 2005 by Rose Aircraft. Beautiful custom Buckskin leather seats with new carpet, headliner, side panels, and refurbished plastics. Complete with custom Aerostar logo on headrests. The right center seat has the swivel option.

Inspection Status
Annual inspection completed in July 2007. IFR certification including pitot static, transponder, and altimeter done in December 2007.
