Plane is in excellent shape, built by EAA tech advisor from Task kit – empty weight with full electrics – 632lbs. Panel includes Rocky Mountain uCoder, AV-8 engine monitor, elec. Turn & bank. NAV/COM UPS SL-30 with ILS (no display for ILS, but swap the ucoder for a Blue Mountain and you have an IFR trainer). Garmin 427GTX mode C. Task Kit in the MARK I configuration. S-glass Carbon fiber and Nomex honeycomb contruction.

Engine is an 1835cc VW with Great Plains - case, crank, flywheel and accessory case and starter. The rest of the engine was balanced, blue printed, and assembled by national level auto race team. Graphite and ceramic coated Mahle pistons. Crank fired ignition with Gilmer belt 55amp alternator drive. FOMCO heads with SS valves. Ellison injector and all filters and fuel lines aluminum with AN fittings. Intake is custom carbon fiber and SS. Air box is molded carbon fiber.

The plane was finished with all Poly Fiber products for compatability reasons. The plane was featured in VW\'s driver magazine and three days were spent buffing and waxing before the photo shoot.
