To: Prospective buyers of my Cessna 185 amphib. From: Chuck Yost, thank you for your continued interest – this is in response to some of your questions: 1. Yes, as of this date it is available for purchase. 2. All Logs, 337s, STCs are to date (~ 8 pounds) 3. Logged about 1874 hr. since 1991 overhaul or about 23 hr. year. 4. Overhaul by Bolduc, Minneapolis, best shop in the Midwest. 5. No salt and always hangared. 6. Ski fittings. 7. STC and 337s complete Robertson STOL kit, 1969. Airleron kit in 1984. New Wipline 3730s, 1992 at 2300 Tach installed. Have used the others since 1968 and 3730s are still my choice. Six wheels down make good land landings easy. The dual mains give you two built-in spares. The nose wheels will not shimmy. Spreader bars are airfoils and lift. Decks are cambered. Good rudders. Forebody bottoms cut well in chop and rigging is right to climb on the step. Forebottoms have several very well done patches, no performance problem. No other damage history overall. Overhaul by Wipline, Inc. @Tach time 2965.99 at the plant. 8. At Tach time 2937.25 installed overhauled propeller, installed overhauled governor, done by Maxwell. 9.
