Description
This is one of the nicest examples of a Beech-18 in existence. This aircraft is not a conversion, it is one of the factory tri-gear models. It features a flawless blue leather interior with beverage bar, fold out tables, club seating configuration and a potty seat with privacy door.
History:
The history of this aircraft brings it into present day news. This Beech-18H was purchased new by the State of Michigan from Beechcraft in 1965 to become "Michigan One" for then Governor George Romney, father of presidential candidate Mitt Romney. It was flown for the State of Michigan for 25 years, where it was meticulously maintained and hangared by the state. The flight records from that era are impressive.
It was then sold to three gentlemen who had it refurbished, painted and detailed to win "Outstanding in Type Beech Multi-Engine" at Oshkosh in 2000. The next owner was a CEO of a digital automation company in Nebraska, and I am the fourth owner. This Beech has always been maintained flawlessly and has been hangared every day of its life. I have kept the maintenance at the standard set by the state. Aircraft annual performed May 2012. Contact to view video!
