1961 Varga/Shinn 2150A, great plane fun to fly. But if your over 6 foot tall as I am (6'3") you wont fit it comfortably. I found this out after I bought it a year ago. Had some items moved from under the panel so I would fit better and I have been able to fly it. My knees are jammed up though and I have had a full knee replacement which after a short time flying with my knees bent it gets painful and uncomfortable for me. Its a great plane and a "Hoot" to fly and I wouldnt be selling it except for this reason. Compressions were #1 75/80 #2 71/80 #3 75/80 #4 76/80 at annual. Cruise at 75% power is like a Cessna 172 100-110 mph. Range varies by conditions it has 33 useful fuel and depending on mixture and conditions burns between 6-7 gph. Usefull load is around 780lbs. Night flight capable. This is a strong tubular frame and all metal skin aircraft. It has an alternator, cabin heat, carb heat and I have manuals and logs. The aircraft is STC'd for auto gas Absolutely nothing needs to be done..its ready to fly. I flew it a week ago, Price Firm

Canopy Cover, new AI, new brake lines and rebuilt calipers, wheel bairings on both mains and front wheels, all AD's complied with.

rated at 5, its 20 foot paint..from 20 feet it looks good..upclose its a little tired but very servicable.
