Description
After World War II, the Japanese were in need of aircraft to train pilots for their self-defense force. Under license from Beechcraft and funding from the United States government, Fuji Heavy Industries began producing the T-34 Mentor. The Liaison Mentor, a fully aerobatic, 4 place version of the T-34 was developed in 1955 as the 225 horsepower LM1. A super-charged, 340 horsepower version was produced in 1961 as the LM-2. 27 Lm-1's and 3 LM-2's were produced. This Lm-2 is one of only 2 left in the world. Parts are all US and Available, Lots of spare parts.
