    Airframe Notes
How do I know N749C is special? Wherever I fly, even into PDK, ATL or the other big jet airports, people ALWAYS come out to take a look at "Charlie." It's a piece of art that flies!!! The Meyers 200 is considered by many to be the finest airplane ever built. Great performance and stable flight characteristics and economical to fly. It was the fastest production/certified single engine normally aspirated and is absolutely the fastest sleekest of it era. It changed the course of aviation and is a part of aviation history. When Charlie rolled off the "line" in 1960, it was serial #261, one of 11 "A" models built. It has the IO470-D engine rated at 265 HP. Charlie sprints off the runway in 1200 feet and climbs quickly to cruise altitude. I bought the plane from my uncle who owned it over a 25 year period. Always cared for, and treated like a member of the family, 749Charlie is in fantastic condition.
