    Description
Full Restoration in 1996 with Emphasis on the Military T-8F-L specifications The Luscombe T-8F configuration was developed and sold as a tandem trainer, and a crop sprayer from 1948 to 1950. Two T-8F-L Prototypes were entered into a US Army Fly-Off completion in 1950 and it lost to the Cessna L-19 Birddog. The Two Prototypes were brought back to the factory and restored to civilian T-8F configuration, therefore the T-8F-L disappeared. In 1992, the owner of N1828B was searching for information on the military configuration of the T-8F so he could restore this aircraft. It was discovered that a former Luscombe Engineer had retained copies of the T-8F-L design documentation in his personal files. He made those available the previous owner and N1828B was recreated to the extent practical as a T-8F-L, with the restoration completed in 1996. The design documents used for the re-creation includes: - The Initial Proposal Document - The Model Specifications - The Performance Data Document - The Design Information Document - Misc. T-8F-L Drawings - Copies of these documents go with the aircraft
