Description
Way too much to list as far as options goes. Bought this plane last year and got it outfitted with the latest and greatest gizmo's and do-dads money could buy. Was planning to get my IFR ticket but personal time gets put on the back burner while family and business gets priority. As hard as I tried, I couldn't explain a $50k hole in my bank account for upgrades and every weekend out flying just so I could stick my head in the clouds for something that was technically a "hobby".
My loss, your gain. Take advantage of it. Since I bought this bird last year in march, 2014, I have actual receipts totaling over 45k in upgrades to her.
I have it set up for very hard, (and very fast,) completely IFR flying. The GTN-750 should be able to take you to about 200 ft above the runway in zero visibility.
Most of the avionics are model year 2013 and newer.
The GTN-750 is the highlight of this plane, but there are so much more stuff in it that just make the plane much more desirable and any comparable planes out there.
With dual linked touchscreen, nav info is sent back and fourth from the gtn to the 796 so your co-pilot can take some load off of your navigation duties. the 796 is the perfect back up unit. it has 3D terrain and is hooked up to the audio panel to tell you when your about to run into the side of a mountain, or if there is imminent danger, like traffic, and when your too low. it also has an internal battery so you'll still have something if your main battery dies on the plane.
The audio panel is also one of the best. with bluetooth capabilities, you can stream music for your passengers from your bluetooth device in flight, as well as talk on the phone directly through your airplane headset.
In flight one of the items i use most is the Insight G3. Their latest version that i just had installed to replace an aging led insight monitor, this new one is full color lcd. it tells you all the temps, cylinder head, exhaust , as well as both turbine temps. it also has features like g-load recording so you can tell if you ever had a hard landing.
The plane itself if fairly standard and performs very close to the POH ratings.
With twin turbo's and factory oxygen as well as the third optional tank, you can do easily over 210 + knots at Flight Levels burning around 15 Gallons per hour.
With 75 gallons fuel on board, and a full glass cockpit in front of you, you can do the math on how far, how fast, how fun, and most importantly how safe this baby can take you.
Most of the major avionics are practically brand new and all certified for installation in this plane. She's pre wired for panel powered Bose X and comes with one for the pilot and 3 Lightspeed ANR headsets for co pilot and passengers.
Major power plant and propeller items are all around 530 Since Major Overhaul. so there's plenty of life left on it at around 75-80 % service life remaining on average. the turbos just got overhauled and are actually still technically in the brake in period.
I fly her as much as time permits, so she does get in the air,
she is in no way a hangar queen, but has been hangared most of her life.
located at KRHV in sunny san jose, ca.
What your looking at is an extremely safe, extremely fast, very very well maintained and regularly flown airplane, all for the 1/8 the price of anything similar in performance you can get today new.
Anual and IFR is current and fresh annual is included in asking price.
Factory 4 place oxygen is complete and operational and includes two brand new never worn cannula for two people. Oxygen system need hydrostatic testing to get them current.
I was very thorough when i bought this plane and went through the logs with a fine tooth comb. Only thing worth mentioning was there was a repair to the wing root at one time, but it was done and signed off at Balanca factory in Minnesota so to me that became a non issue.
