A beautifully restored Laird LC-1B 300 "Commercial". No expense spared. Restored to concourse standards. Must see to appreciate. It's perfect!

Airframe Notes
FUSELAGE CONSTRUCTION: Aluminum longerons and compression struts joined at steel clusters braced by steel tie rods and McWhite tensioners
WINGS: All wood construction with truss construction ribs and plywood leading edges
TAIL: Wood horizontal stabilizer, steel elevator, rudder and fin
CONTROLS: All built to original Laird drawing with all rudder cables, stick interconnect and rudder pedal interconnect under the floor board. Throttle quadrant of original hanging design but throttle, mixture and carb heat connection placed inboard instead of in the side walls. Elevator trim Johnson bar, fine trim wheel, pushrod and mechanism as original. Front has removable stick and rudder pedals, no brakes, throttle only. Adjustable rear seat.
INSTRUMENT PANELS: Back panel as original with restored Pioneer instruments and night flying light shield. Front has large diameter airspeed and altimeter only
LANDING GEAR: bungee sprung (32 small rings) steel axles and “V” struts, roller bearing main wheels
BRAKES: BT hydraulic brakes activated by original center pivoting brake/rudder pedals.
WHEELS: 30 X 5 wheels (new manufacture Fishers of the largest wall thickness) with smooth tires.
TAIL WHEEL: steerable Scott replacing the original skid utilizing the original leaf spring design.
