The Skymaster is a wonderful cross country machine which can fly 190 KTAS at 65% power (140 PPH fuel burn) at 20,000 ft in pressurized comfort. The P337H handles beautifully and its stall characteristics are predictable and benign. This Skymaster is a very solid airframe that flies hands off. It flies 120 KIAS on just the front engine and 110 KIAS on just the rear with no asymmetric thrust. Some right rudder is required for front engine only go arounds just like a single. With the gear door deletion modification, engine failure on takeoff still gives you approximately 350 FPM climb on one engine, depending on density altitude, so losing an engine does not necessarily mean a forced landing, pulling your parachute (which you can't really do on takeoff anyways) or a potential wing over asymmetric thrust condition. Losing an engine on approach in solid IMC you land the aircraft like a heavy single. A fantastic aircraft for flying over water or rugged terrain, it is a stable platform in solid IMC, and is exceptionally easy to land whether on one or two engines. The Aspen 1000 Pro is actually a dream to fly with an incredibly efficient IFR scan. This Skymaster is an 'H' model with R/L fuel (148 gallons usable) and a rear seat that slides all the way to the rear cabin wall, giving passengers better than first class leg room. Insurance companies usually do NOT require recurrency training in the Skymaster, which can save thousands of dollars annually. Many Skymasters for sale are a Pandora's box of hidden endless problems however this airframe is corporately maintained with no expense spared. Within the last 100 hours: New brake and hydraulic lines, brakes, and tires, New rear engine driven fuel pump, New front and rear engine electric fuel pumps, Rear prop and prop governor overhauls, Autopilot overhaul, Fuel gauge system overhaul, New rear engine mounts, New factory cabin window seals. Seat roller housings both front seats all replaced. Rear Alternator replaced. Within the last 260 hours: New rear engine starter and starter adapter, New rear engine turbo and turbo controller, New front and rear engine alternators and alternator coupling units, New front engine vacuum pump, Top Overhauls front and rear engines. Front turbo has ~ 440 hours since new. Aircraft wiring is in excellent shape - much of it has been replaced. This aircraft is a good candidate for upgrade to Aspen 2000 or 2500 systems. This aircraft previously had boots and hot plate so reinstallation can be considered by new owner.
