Description
Remarkable 1940 example of the Porterfield Collegiate "Skinny Bird". This aircraft was purchased from a vintage flying aircraft collection and is now nestled in next to warbirds at the Vintage Flying Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. She underwent a muti-year restoration inclusive of period accurate cotton doping stretched over her airframe. The plane is in the correct livery and paint format down to the oversize "N" number placement. Beautiful Continental A65 which has Rolls Royce cylinder covers on the power plant. (You've got to have a bit of sense of humor about old planes). Meticulous log books and technical archives. No known accident history.
In annual at present and will be delivered with completed annual. Always hangared and flown regularly. An absolute head turner wherever you go. New radio pack on board and intercom system. Interior beautifully redone with great sensitivity to time period aesthetics. She is a museum grade restoration...no disappointments right down to the wheel pants.
