Description
Very stable and smooth flying aircraft. It has been described as the "Cadillac of the Sky" which is very different from other models I have flown.
aircraft was restored after purchase in 2010/2011 and the results speak for themselves. If it was broken or worn, it was fixed or replaced.
Since the restoration, the engine cylinders were replaced, as was much of the fuel and ignition system.
MRGB was overhauled in 2014, and has less than 70 hours on it.
Other components have good life left and the aircraft is in general excellent mechanical condition.
Current owner flew it regularly, averaging over 100 hours per year, including 2 cross-continental voyages, both north-south and east-west across North America.
Only reason it is being sold is I have been transferred overseas for work, and my current location does not have avgas.
If I could continue flying it here, I would. But I can't. Since I would rather see it fly than collect dust, it is reluctantly being sold.

Modifications/Conversions
Modifications/Conversions
- Float kit installed, but floats are no longer airworthy, and are not included in purchase price.
- Cargo hook installed, includes electric and mechanical releases.
- MRGB timed out in 2014, and was overhauled, including installation of a "thick-walled" mast to reduce vibration.
- Approximately 60 hours on "0-timed" MRGB

Avionics/Radios
- King VHF radio (KY197)
- King ADF receiver and indicator (KR86)
