    Description
This is the only remaining airworthy FD25B. Subsequent serial numbers were built by Toyo Aircraft and saw action in Laos. Two other aircraft can be found in museums in Japan. This was the last Fletcher Aircraft built FD25B. This was designed to be a inexpensive Counter Insurgency aircraft with a heavy punch. 24Volt. Rated at +6 -4 g. Built to mil spec. The major components have been overhauled or repaired. Fuel bladders were re-certified. Generator, starter, carburetor, fuel pumps, fuel valves and all hoses are fresh. The aircraft retains the look as found. While this is a single place, it could be converted into a two place using the factory drawings. In addition to the aircraft are blue-prints, static and dynamic engineering test reports, canopy mold, spare parts, plugs for castings and more. This is a great sport plane that turns heads and is inexpensive and fun to fly. A real head turner with a great exhaust sound. Roomier inside than a Mustang and not as expensive. Its design simplicity was ahead of its time and today it would make an excellent armed UAV. There is a rich history behind this John Thorpe design and numerous magazine articles. A great piece of American aviation history. (Sorry, no guns but you can fit your own !) Email: [email protected] Fletcher FD25B COIN warbird.
