Airframe Notes
The aircraft is best described as a high quality reproduction, built to the original drawings and incorporating a number of original components. It went on loan to the Memorial Flight Association in France in 1985. It was flown by them as part of the Memorial Flight’s collection until it returned to the UK in 2012 and is currently in storage. The Certificate of Airworthiness expired in 2012 but the aircraft has been inspected and signed off, needing only to be given a final inspection to restore it to an airworthy state.
The engine is a 150/180 hp Hispano Suiza built in 1918, however it is in need of some work and any potential owner would need to be aware of this. But this is a very rare opportunity to acquire a potentially airworthy First War fighter aircraft. To the best of my knowledge this is the only historically correct and complete First War aircraft for sale anywhere at the present time.
