Airframe: Velocity 173RG N62BZ Ser# DMO344 1123.7 TT@ tach 849.1. Vortex Generators NOTE * NOTE * NOTE: In September 2010 This Velocity had a pilot error landing. According to the Velocity factory, it hit the beginning runway pavement that was about 1 foot higher then the land/ grass it was on. It sheered off the retractable gear system, scraped the belly and struck the propeller. In 2011 the Velocity factory did a complete new gear installation, a major airframe inspection, installed new propeller blades, re-tested this aircraft, and started its test flights with a 0 timed log book entry. The Velocity factory re-tested/ flew this Velocity and recorded 40.3 hours of test-flight time. One of the Velocity A&P's logged this Velocity as Safe and Airworthy after the Velocity factory repairs and testing. Basically; This is a well tested, well constructed home/ factory built experimental Velocity 173 RG Elite. The Velocity Factory re-certified this aircraft with the FAA as a 2011 manufactured model. This aircraft was originally registered as N52BZ / SN 104B, and built in 1996. She is now, registered as N62BZ / SN DMO 344, and built in 2011. The engine log book shows the New Lycoming IO 360 has a total time of 1139.8, with a current annual inspection.
