Description
The heart of the Air America "Javelin" remanufactured P210 is the replacement of the original and troubled 285, 300 and 310 HP Continental TSIO-520 with a 350 HP Lycoming TIO-540 with no operational limitations. Originally billed as the “Malibu Killer”, the Javelin conversion goes far beyond an engine upgrade: it is a complete remanufacture of the P210. In addition to the 350HP inter-cooled Lycoming engine, the Javelin conversion included a four-blade "Q-Tip" prop, beefed up ailerons to eliminate the risk of flutter at high cruise speeds (which the converted Javelin is capable), mass-balanced rudder, improvements to the nose gear and various stiffening and strengthening through-out. Additionally, the Javelin conversion included dual alternators, 16 gallon tip tanks (each) and, to take advantage of the Javelin's speed and range, an additional 29 gallon baggage compartment tank for a total of 150 gallons. This is a great “step-up” airplane providing the comfort of pressurization and speed at minimal insurance rates. This is a very fast airplane that handles basically like the Cessna’s you’ve been flying – it’s a great instrument platform and very reliable. Cruise at 210 Knots at 23,000 feet burning 19 GPH at 75% power! Specifications subject to Buyers verification upon inspection. Email for pictures & specs. Known Ice P210 Javelin in excellent condition - 227 Knots @ 23,000 Ft
