    Description
History In early 1978 Lear 25D SN 235 rolled off the assembly line and was delivered to its first owner in the mid-west US where it remained until late 1988. The aircraft was delivered to San Antonio, TX in July of 1982 where it received the innovative Dee Howard XR Mod; at the time, a pioneering upgrade that included a new swept wing center section, wing leading edge, and engine pylons to improve high speed performance, increase useful load and provide longer range. From 1978 – 1988 SN 235 had two Midwest owners with a great deal of the maintenance performed by Gates Learjet Corporation and Garret Aviation Services. In late 1988 the aircraft was acquired by a Ft. Meyers, FL company. Shortly after purchasing the aircraft, the owner had the paint and interior refurbished at Duncan Aviation. Duncan Aviation also provided some maintenance on the aircraft from 1989 – 1992. In 1990, the engines were overhauled by Bizjet International in Tulsa, OK. In June of 1992, a small dent was discovered in the leading edge of the right wing. The aircraft was flown to Dee Howard where the leading edge was removed, repaired and replaced. Chamlian Enterprises, based in Fresno, CA and the largest textile recycler in North America, purchased SN 235 in February of 1993. Total time on the aircraft was 5,815 hours. Chamlian had a pre-purchase inspection performed by AMR Combs and shortly after the registration number was changed to the current N400VC. While owned by Chamlian the aircraft was maintained by Clay Lacy Aviation, Roig-West, Inc. and Fresno Jet Center. In February of 1994 SN 235 was acquired by Mr. Dee Howard via his company, River City Investments in San Antonio, TX. That same month the aircraft had new pilot and co-pilot windshields installed by Learjet and hot sections were performed on the engines. In 1995 the cockpit and interior were refurbished per Dee Howard’s specs. Maintenance was performed by Mr. Howard’s mechanic, Guy Span, who continues to maintain the aircraft today for the current owner – he has maintained this aircraft for over 12 years. The current owner, a private company involved in global magazine distribution and airport gift stores, acquired SN 235 directly from Dee Howard in the summer of 1995 and has taken meticulous care of the aircraft for the past 11 years. The aircraft has remained based in San Antonio in a private corporate hangar very near the old Dee Howard Company hangars. In 1999 the aircraft was stripped and painted in its current scheme by Jim Miller Aircraft Painting, a well known and highly respected paint facility based just southwest of San Antonio. And in 2002 the interior was refurbished again in custom selected colors and materials by Southstar Aircraft Interiors. Sound proofing was added to the cabin and all new cover materials were installed including pilot seats, leathers cabin seats, headliners, seat belts, sidepanels, cabinetry laminates and curtains. SN 235 is a well maintained Lear 25DXR with complete logs, no major damage and an excellent ownership history. 160/160 SHOT, 12 Yr. Insp. c/w 2002, RVSM, TAWS, Dee Howard Thrust Reversers, Dee Howard XR Mod, Cargo Door, No Damage History. Formerly Dee Howard’s Personal Airplane
