    Description
History of BOEING 727-30 Serial Number 18365 Boeing 727-100 Series airplane, Serial Number 18365, was built for Lufthansa German Airlines and delivered in June of 1964. The aircraft was registered as D-ABIH. The aircraft flew for Lufthansa as an airliner until May of 1975, accumulating over 24,000 flight hours. Boeing bought the airplane back in May and then sold it to Kingdom Holdings of Saudi Arabia, where it was outfitted as a VIP aircraft and registered as HZ-TA1. In this capacity the aircraft flew it’s owner all over the world. In November of 1986 a private U.S. broker, who held the airplane until July of 1987, and then subsequently sold it, purchased the airplane. Jack Prewitt and Associates purchased the airplane at this time, and then registered it as N96B. The TBN Corporation purchased the airplane in May of 1991, and replaced the JT-8D-7 engines, with the more powerful JT-8D-9 engines. They maintained the registration as N96B. Comtran International, a company famous for upgrading aircraft engines, purchased the airplane in November of 1995 and then sold it in August of 1996. The WWW Viators Corporation purchased the airplane in August of 1996 and then sold it in May of 1997. The aircraft was still registered as N96B at this time. Triton Energy Company purchased the aircraft in May of 1997 and registered the airplane as N700TE, and later changed the registration to N727MJ, but in May of 1998 again sold the airplane. The aircraft was equipped with the “FEDEX Hush-kits” during this period. Atlantic Aircraft purchased the airplane in May of 1998 and registered the airplane as N727EC. The aircraft flew its owner worldwide until the aircraft was sold in August of 2007. The current owner purchased the airplane in November of 2007 and had the aircraft registered as N665DH in February of 2008. The aircraft is now registered as N606DH. The aircraft now has some 36,161 flight hours, and is the oldest operational Boeing 727 currently operational in the world. Outfitted with long range fuel tanks and new generation radios and electronics, this aircraft has true worldwide operational range. The aircraft features a VIP interior with Living Room, Private Bedroom and Bath, complete with shower, a kitchen, and dining area. The aircraft has three bathrooms and in total provides an apartment like atmosphere capable of accessing airports around the world. Boeing built 1,832 Boeing 727 aircraft from 1960 to 1984. While accumulating only a fraction of the total flight hours most Boeing 727’s acquire in their careers, this aircraft’s durability and versatility continues to demonstrate why the Boeing 727 is considered one of the most significant aircraft ever designed.
