Description
When we were children we dreamt of owning and flying a plane like this. This dream can come true... This is really great airplane at a very reasonable price.
The L-29C is a basic jet trainer manufactured in the Czech Republic and was sold throughout the world. This particular aircraft was used for basic pilot training as well as basic gunnery and bombing practice. The aircraft gun sight has been retained in its original position. The remainder of the armament has been removed.
The engine is a Walter M-701-500 turbojet rated at approximately 1980 pounds of thrust. In military service the engine TBO is approximately 500 hours; however in civilian life the TBO is extended.
The L-29C has a maximum G-load of 8 positive and 3 negative. The aircraft will cruise at approximately 330 knots at 17,000 feet. The cockpit is pressurized, with air conditioning and heat.
The L-29C was designed for simple maintenance and for operation off grass/dirt strips. The aircraft is capable of taking off within 3,000 feet, and landings can be performed in shorter distances. N-222KJ is a strong, well built aircraft ready for immediate delivery.
It has been brought to its current excellent condition during a one year refurbishment and certification program. A partial list of new parts includes the windshield, rear canopy glass, canopy seals, tires, instruments and avionics.
