Aircraft was completely overhauled by the Ukrainian aircraft overhaul facility in 2007-2008. Initial test flights took place at the factory in August of 2008. The aircraft was painted just prior to disassembly and shipping. Transported to Rockford, IL in October of 2008 via an AN-124 cargo aircraft. Re-assembly began in early 2009 and extensive cockpit upgrading has taken place. All cockpit labeling, warning lights, warning systems and audible warnings have been converted to English. A complete western IFR avionics package was installed and tested. Complete system checks have been completed on the aircraft, including full engine runs and afterburner checks. Both aircraft are ready to fly! Licensing and test flights in Rockford are scheduled to take place in the next couple of months. Factory trained and certified US FAA mechanics are here to maintain the aircraft now and into the future. Support equipment is here and available, as well as spares and consumables.
only Su-27 that will ever be available in the USA. There is nothing like them anywhere. We look forward to hearing from qualified parties. Undoubtedly the most extraordinary aircraft you can own and fly
