    Description
After 8 years of ownership (first flown in New Zealand in 2005) by a small syndicate of pilots it is sadly now time to offer our Thunder Mustang aircraft for sale. Assembled and fastidiously maintained for the owners by the team at Avspecs (these are the people who built the immaculate de Havilland Mosquito - KA114 and winners of many Oshkosh EAA awards for their restoration work). This Thunder Mustang has 420 hours TTIS and has set a number of FIA approved speed records. It has recently received a full engine rebuild and annual inspection during which the (Mk2) Falconer V-12 engine block was installed (which has thicker cylinder jacket walls amongst other improvements), valve train strengthened and many other improvements incorporated e.g. an aluminium-billet accessory case housing (please contact us for more details). Nothing left to do and ready to fly! The Thunder Mustang is the ultimate performance machine that is easy to live with and easily operated by a PPL pilot with tail-wheel experience. Delivery and type training can be arranged by negotiation and the sale includes an all metal custom-built transport frame that fits into a standard 40’ container for delivery anywhere in the world.
