Description
A very rare opportunity to acquire a Standard Category (aerobatic) late model SF260 C that has never seen military service, and has been civilian owned since new. The plane was totally rebuilt less than 200 hours (2 years) ago with a Lycoming factory remanufactured AEIO-540 engine and NEW Hartzel propeller. During this rebuild, literally every nut, bolt, bearing, washer, seal, line (hard and soft) was replaced with new factory parts. New gear motor, flap motor, flap sender, and gear struts were also fitted. The plane was totally rewired to factory specifications - every wire was hot labeled per the factory manual. A NEW factory inverted right main tank was fitted to enable substained inverted flight.
A new panel was fitted with Garmin 530, 430, 330 (mode S), 106A and stereo audio panel. A Bendix electronic HSI was installed, and can display information from either radio / GPS. A new STEC 50 autopilot with GPSS and altitude hold was also installed (can be flown off of either radio / GPS) as were three electric J.E.T (two 3 1/8" and one 2 1/4") fully aerobatic attitude indicators. New AAU-31 and 32 counter drum altimeters were installed as was a JPI engine analyzer with fuel flow. New Whelen wing tip and tail strobes were also fitted. The wheels, brake calipers, and bearings were also replaced with new parts.
A custom $15K leather gray leather interior was installed, and a custom base / clear camo paint job. Also fitted was a NEW factory canopy and windscreen.
The aircraft flies perfectly strait and trues at over 180 KTAS. The SF260 is conservatively stressed to +6, -3 Gs, and is a beautifully balanced aircraft. It has two seats side by side plus a bench seat in the back that can carry a third passanger, or 250lbs of luggage. A fantastic cross country plane that let's you do aerobatics / formation / IFR flying as well!
If you want the best SF260 ever available, this is it. SF260C -Finest example in existance!
