Description
#1 is a 1948 prototype. #2 was lost many years ago. #3 (which I have) is used in factory publications including the owners manual. This airplane was the personal craft of John Strayer from new until 1959 when he bought out colonial and started Lake. He personally flew it hundreds of hours on demonstration and sales flights all over the U.S.
This is an investment grade aircraft. Oldest production Skimmer.

All Part individually epoxy primed before assembly. Paint is faded, but I could find no corrosion. Wings have been removed to transport and paint aircraft. Steel parts have been removed for powdercoat.
