Spirit in the Sky are pleased to present this stunning example of the 4 seat 1935 UKC-S Waco for sale in Vermillion. One of only 40 ever built this aircraft has spent the majority of its life in the US before it made the journey across the Atlantic on the 15th August 1983. It has been with its current owner for the last 15 years and is now on the market to make way for a new classic.
Powered by a Continental W670 engine producing 220hp. This engine has 860 hrs SMOH and 55 since STOH. The airframe has 4040 hrs TT. Hamilton Standard ground adjustable propeller, locking tailwheel, retractable landing light, hydraulic brakes, 4 hrs endurance at c110 knots and has been converted to run on MOGAS (c 50 litres per hour)
To step into the cabin is to take a step back in time. This 4 place cabin is finished in walnut wood and brown Connolly leather. There is a large baggage hold and this particular example has dual control wheels with the majority of instruments being original.
The current owner has retained the original livery of the Sunflower Seeds Corporation and has flown the aircraft with great care and diligence in the past 15 years.
