Description
This L29 is no project bird. Flys on a regular basis, maintained professionally by former airline mechanic. Recent major annual includes new brakes, new LP fuel sensor, new front canopy, new pitot-static lines, new hyd check valve for speed brakes, new pitot-static sensor for flaps. Aircraft has newer tires. The turbor cooler was recently overhauled and the air intake replaced with a larger version, however like most L29's the AC is weak, heat works fine, air mixing valve was recently replaced. The aircraft flys on a regular basis and is not a hanagr queen. This is the perfect aircraft for initial entry into the jet warbird marketplace. The L29 is extremely easy to fly. The aircraft is slightly underpowered for its weight but once airborne and given a little altitude to play with it performs nicely. The aircraft will give you an honest 400 knots, but only in a dive. Most maneuvers can be performed at 250kts easily. The aircraft will fly out of paved or grass runways with ease, as long as you have about 4000 feet to use. The aircraft has a modest approach speed of 100kts with full flaps and can be stopped in 2500ft easily. The paint is Soviet Winter Camo and is about an 8, with some minor chipping, but is a real attention getter at the airshows. The engine is a M701C-500 and is as simple as a jet engine can be, VERY LOUD, gets a lot of attention at airshows. The engine has about 70hrs to go until hot section inspection or replacement, your choice per the FSDO approved Maint program. An addtional spare engine is included,as well as all support equipment necessary (including the essential tail dolly). Two g-suits and two new Strong Squadron Seat Pack parachutes are included. The aircraft is truly plug and play. Price will include a checkout for 8710 recommendation for qualified pilots. I have an DPE who will travel to ARR or your airport for the checkride. If you need help with insurance or financing issues I can provide info. Excellent L29, Perfect for entry into Jet Warbird Market
