Plans-built Ison Minimax 1500R. The aircraft is registered Experimental Amateur Built, N616JS, but also fits perfectly into Sport Pilot. It is located in Central Missouri (LBO airport), and has approximately 65 hours TT. It has a Rotax 447 SC with pull start. The engine was completely rebuilt at 150 hours, and now has 65 flying in the plane SMOH. Includes Rotax model B gear box and 64" two-blade Warp Drive ground adjustable prop. Clean VFR panel has a handheld Icom A-5 with Miracle Air Whip antenna, panel mounted primer for starting, AS, ALT, Compass, CHT/EGT. Other features: dual 5-gal wing tanks with fuel gages, custom Sliding Canopy that can be flow in any position open or closed, "P-40 style" rear windows for excellent rearward visibility, and enclosed custom baggage compartment in the turtledeck. Full Poly Fiber Process used, with Poly Tone top coat. Equipped with band brakes, flaprons, and droop wing tips. The plane has always been hangered, cruises at 75, gets off the ground in 5-6 seconds, and climbs at 700 fpm or better. Average fuel burn has been 3.4 gph at cruise.
