Zenith Zodiac 601 Taildragger First flight Aug 2017 with 498hrsTT. Jabiru 3300 solid lift engine. Built as a tail dragger with wing locker option. Oversized tyres for good grass dirt runway handling. For sale a Zenith CH 601B tail dragger, light sports aircraft. It is in the Zodiac line of aircraft from aeronautical engineer Chris Heintz, first introduced in 1984. Enjoy flights, with exceptional unrestricted visibility, operate from grass strips, make round trips of several hundred miles in a single day, or take your partner for a local pleasure flight, or to a far-off destination! Currently VH experimental registration but can be transferred to RAAUS. Reason for sale: I have totally enjoyed building and flying this aircraft all over the country. Engine type: Jabiru 3300 (#1164) Engine Hours: 498 - Engine originally new in 2005 but never used. Due to through bolt and other outstanding modifications introduced over the ten years before I got the engine I decided to bulk strike before using it. The engine was an early hydraulic lifter but converted to CAMiT solid lifter and large through bolts by CAMiT. Other mods done to bring engine up to as close to Gen 3 spec as possible including CAMiT flywheel attachment and alternator. Engine has always been run with a Rotec TBI throttle body and CAMiT 3 into 1 exhaust. Propeller type: Sensenich 60*53 wood as per Jabiru recommendation. Plus a Taylor Made Woodprop 60*52 climb prop. Propeller hours: 450/48 Hrs
