The Yakovlev Yak-11 (NATO reporting name: "Moose", Russian: Як-11) is advanced trainer aircraft used by the Soviet Air Force and other Soviet-influenced air forces from 1947 until 1962. It was produced in 1946-1953 in USSR and in Czechoslovakia. A total of 4,566 were built and it set five world-class records.
D-FJII: Built in 1952 in the Yakovlev laboratories with serial number Y-5434, this aircraft was used by the Egyptian army and is part of a batch of aircraft that was recovered and brought from Egypt by Raymond Capel and Salis Aviation. It was restored and first flew again in 1994.
