You will notice that engine has low time - and was recently rebuilt along with the nose strut being replaced. Those are two different situations, not related, and there was not a prop strike. The airplane had sat for over two years without being flown awaiting to have the avionics upgraded and other cowl modifications completed. Performance One in Mesa, AZ. recommended to the owner to have the engine rebuilt after inspecting it. Thus the owner had the engine and turbochargers.
The nose strut failed a back to service flight inspection that occurred recently in the Seattle area where the plane is under the care of local maintenance shop. The nose strut was not properly centering the nose wheel when the front of the plane was lifted off the ground during simulated takeoff rotation. It was centering approximately 5˚ to left of center. It was recommended to the seller to have the strut overhauled or replaced. The seller decided to replace the Wolstenholme strut with the improved RDD nose strut.
