Flies absolutely beautifully, 2000 fpm climb, easy taildragger, has been 100% reliable. Standard vans RV-4 performance and flying characteristics. Lycoming O-320-E2D, 2nd life, 381 hrs since complete overhaul, 155 hrs since 4x new genuine lycoming higher compression 160hp cylinder asemblies in March 2015. Whirlwind ground adjustable propellor Dynon Flightdek 180 Becker radio Garmin 296GPS dock iPad mini dock RAAUS registered Can fly on Mogas or Avgas 135kts TAS @ 2350 rpm 145kts TAS @ 2450 rpm 160kts TAS @ 2680rpm First flown 1989 but was not flown for number of years. Was at 283 TTAF Jan 2013, 335 TTAF Jun 2018 (when I bought it), 348 TTAF Jun 2019, 356 TTAF Jun 2020, 381 TTAF Jun 2021. New vans pressure recovery wheel pants, new gear leg fairings, new battery, new stainless braided brake lines, new tyres, and wheels, brakes, carburettor, all overhauled recently. MGL V6 radio, trutrak digiflight autopilot and servos not yet installed but can be included in sale. Mechanically very good, but paintwork not great. Could do with a cosmetic tidy up, but does not affect flying performance in any way. Bruce canopy cover included. Rear stick currently removed (easy to put back). Also comes with additional rear auxiliary aluminium fuel tank of 120 liters capacity that occupies back seat and can be hard plumbed in. Selling because I am always flying my other aircraft (STOL) and although I absolutely love flying the RV-4, I don’t fly it enough.
