Up for sale is a Zenith Aircraft Company Zodiac CH 601 HDS, taildragger version of this particular model. Made in USA kit was purchased from Zenith Aircraft Company of Missouri. A discontinued project due to health and age reasons of the builder. This aircraft is mostly built. The kit was purchased and the aircraft was built by an aircraft paint shop owner in a Southern California Airport. The builder purchased the kit directly from the factory. All original purchase receipts, additional parts purchase receipts, build instructions and diagrams, original owner's manual, and detailed built progress pictures/photographs are available and will be included and provided to the buyer. In addition to what has been built already into the aircraft, there are many parts that will be included with the aircraft at the time of sale. Most of these items are shown in the attached photographs of this ad. Many parts such as controls, cables, strobe lights, wiring, fuel tanks, etc. has already been done (please see photos). In addition to the cost of the kit, parts, and accessories, the builder spent hundreds of hours of time in this project. Priced low for a quick sale, considering the cost of the original kit, other costs, and labor value input to build the kit. There are various choices of engine available for the buyer of this aircraft. There is no engine or engine cowling included with this sale. The canopy is not included either (not available). The aircraft has always been hangered and never been under the elements. As such, there are no corrosion of any kind on or in the aircraft. This is an "HDS" model and not a an "XL" or "650" model! If you have always been fascinated with building a robust and reliable-known experimental aircraft, this kit will offer you a great opportunity. The aircraft is mostly built and your completion time will be reduced substantially while achieving the satisfaction of building your own aircraft.
