History:
The PC-7 was built in 1989 and delivered to the South Africa Air Force to be used as a “Lead In” Jet trainer. It was released in 1998, undamaged back to Pilatus for a total rebuild which included wing off restoration. It was put back into service wearing Swiss Air Force Colors (red with black stripe) and was available from the factory. Purchased by the State Alaska Forestry Department, they updated systems, new Cleveland Brakes and Smoke System, and repainted it yellow and blue. It was used by the State of Alaska as a “Lead Fire Marker” from approximately 2000- 2011. The State of Alaska put it up for sale in 2011 with 2,900 total hours and was purchased by the current owner.
