    Description
11Y has the Colemill President II io550 conversion. She is in perfect working order, trues over 200 KTAS on 25gph, and I've flown her 116 hours in the last 6 months with perfect dispatch reliability. The io550s run like sewing machines - no issues with hot starts, easy to LOP deep, and only 1100 since IRAN with matching times. She has not lived outside a hangar in the last 20 years and there is no corrosion currently worthy of remediation at this time. She has been maintained open-checkbook with 3 oil changes already by Tim Pullum at Driggs. Prior to my ownership, Air Force phantom pilot turned Continental test pilot Charlie Arnet owned this plane for 20 years and almost 1200 hours. He did the Colemill conversion and had Continental's Doug Burdick conduct all the maintenance in Fairhope. In fact, this plane lived in Continental's hangar during that time. Whoever buys 11Y will be rewarded with years of speedy reliable service and hundreds of hours before major expenses need to be incurred. The long-span flaps on this light A model enable exceptional short field performance when paired with the big io550s.
