The restoration the aircraft took place over a 20+ year period and was not completed due to the owner’s death.
The aircraft was completely taken apart and the following major work was accomplished-
Airframe-soda blasted
All new wiring- properly stamped per the aircraft manuals
Hydraulics overhauled
Instruments overhauled
Engine accessories overhauled
All new hoses
Sheet metal repairs as needed (very minor)
Overhauled fuel cells
The following items remain to be completed-
Installation of Battery and wiring
Finish securing wire bundles as needed
ADSB system- type not decided
Cockpit overturn- install proper bolts
Inspect and verify operation nose wheel steering or remove and install B/C model dampener
Finish radio system installation
Install correct engine baffle for Fennec cockpit air system
Overhaul cowl flap/oil cooler components
Several aluminum fuel lines in center section need replaced
Install seats
Install canopy emergency release handles
Finish landing gear indicator installation
Install interior trim panels
Install cabin heater and ducts- heater has been overhauled
Service and test canopy air system
Install outer gear doors and rig gear
Final inspection, power up, ground run and prepare for test flight
Certification by DAR
